“My Grandad Squibb” written by Rachel Ryan ————————————————————— My Grandad Squibb, Yes thats who you are You really are the best there is, I mean it from the bottom of my heart It’s lonely here without you, So empty, dark and grey I really wish it wasn’t true, That you’ve had to go away I can’t explain the feeling, It’s heavy yet it’s hollow, I thank God for the nights in dreaming, That I see you and I follow I remember the last words I said, I hope you took them with you too, While you laid there in your bed, I told you “I love you” You were more than I could have asked for, In being my lovely grandad, You’ll be looking down I’m sure, Wishing I weren’t so sad It’s harder to smile these days, But then I remember your jokes, You really had some funny ways Your cigars going up in smoke I will miss you for forever, Farewell I had to bid, Forget you will I never, My wonderful grandad Squibb

Memories of you dad ___________💙___________ It's been the hardest thing to lose you You meant so much to me But you are in my heart Dad And that's where you'll always be I know that Heaven called you But I wish you could have stayed At least the memories I have of you They will never fade I did not want to lose you But you did not go alone Because a part of me went with you When Heaven called you home So just remember one thing We are not apart You're with me in my memories And in my broken heart.
